This Year, I’m Embracing My Non-Cook Status and Choosing These Delicious, Ready-to-Eat Meals Instead

Maintaining a healthy routine is important to me, especially when it comes to three key areas: staying hydrated, eating balanced meals, and staying active. But with a busy schedule, it often feels impossible to check all three boxes every single day. While I usually meet my water intake goals and make time for some movement, cooking tends to be the first thing I skip. Between work and life’s daily demands, I’ve come to terms with the fact that preparing home-cooked meals every night just isn’t realistic for me right now.

That’s why I turned to Factor—fresh, ready-to-eat, dietitian-approved meals delivered straight to my door. No shopping, no meal planning, no prep, and no cleanup—just delicious, balanced meals that fit seamlessly into my routine.

“Factor provides fresh, ready-prepared meals that support even the busiest lifestyles so you can experience the benefits of clean eating without the hassle,” says registered dietitian Carlie Williams, RDN, LD.

That’s exactly what I needed. And after a week of trying Factor meals, I don’t think I can go back to my old ways.

The first meal I tried was a Mexican-inspired chicken dish with rice, peppers, and veggies in a slightly spicy sauce. It took just two minutes to heat up, but the flavor was incredible. In fact, my fiancé walked into the kitchen, convinced I had cooked something from scratch!

Throughout the week, I found a few more favorites, like cavatappi and pork ragu with broccoli (23 grams of protein, 520 calories) and blackened salmon with gouda-style cauliflower grits (an impressive 39 grams of protein). But honestly, every meal I tried was packed with flavor and quality ingredients.

One of my biggest concerns with pre-made meal services is portion size—I’ve tried others before and often felt unsatisfied after eating. But with Factor, that wasn’t an issue. Each meal fit perfectly in a standard bowl or plate, and when I finished eating, I felt full and nourished without being overly stuffed.

Factor also keeps things interesting by switching up the menu every week, so I always have new meals to try. Plus, I can customize my preferences—whether I want more high-protein meals, vegetarian options, or something different altogether.

Beyond meals, I also tried Factor’s wellness shots. I’m not usually a big juice person, but I gave the Cayenne Cleanse a go—made with apple, ginger, cayenne, and lemon—and I loved how refreshing and energizing it made me feel in the mornings.

Factor has completely changed how I approach mealtime. It’s made healthy eating effortless, giving me more time to focus on other aspects of my routine without sacrificing nutrition or flavor. With high-quality, satisfying meals delivered straight to my door, I no longer have to worry about skipping meals or resorting to less nutritious options.

Am I officially a meal delivery convert? I think so!
